Meet the team - Feature Fetish Writer ~ Richard Saunders

May I please take the time to introduce this wonderfully talented and driven young gentleman. The highly accomplished Richard Saunders is our resident fetish writer and has already corresponded with the ridiculously famous photographer Ed Fox for his Foot Fetish article in issue 1# and shared his experiencs of Asphyxia in issue 2#.  Author of the incredibly sexy blog altgirlbotherer.tumblr.com, his writing talent is a fresh and ambitious addition to our writing team. We first became acquainted when he interviewed me for his blog and I couldn’t help but be taken in with his enthusiasm and initiative thus became our happy working relationship at SKIN. Richard especially stands out in my mind for bollocking the editorial team of Front and FHM, only emphasising his ardour and exemplar ambitions.

Hi Richard! You've been travelling the world with your writing job, what exciting things have you been up to?
I’ve just left Oberhausen, Germany, where I’ve been helping a company cash in on the London Olympics with new websites and such. It was Prague a few weeks before that, and their much livelier festival scene, writing copy about energy drinks.

Where are you right now?
At the moment I’m at my home attempting to get some r&r in before travelling to Mid Wales for a job.

What are you up to today?
Today is all about relaxation, so DVDs, Lasagne baguettes (if you’ve never had one, try one) and doing some writing for my personal blog. Maybe get out on my bike too if it ever stops raining!

What inspired you to be a writer?
I guess it was the Rick Mayall and Adrian Edmondson TV series Bottom. It came out at the start of my teens, and the first thing I wrote was a script that totally ripped off a Bottom episode.

Watched any porn lately?
Yes. But it’s hard to find good porn these days. Well crafted stuff is a dying art I think. I find I’m left with my guilty pleasure porn a lot of the time. The industry needs some dynamism!

Favourite beverage?
Not very rock and roll I know, but its good old fashioned tap water. Council pop is fine by me.

Favourite book?
I’m an eclectic bugger, so it’s between Michael J. Fox’s Lucky Man and Max Brooks’ World War Z (the latter because I’m a bit of a zombie junkie these days).

Favourite movie?
I actually mention it in my piece for issue 2 it’s called Poolhall Junkies, no one has ever seen it when I mention it and the acting from the lead isn’t great, but I just LOVE it!

Do you have a message for our readers?
Yes indeed I do. If you’re looking for fetish, humour, photography, music, art, and all things in-between, SKIN is the way to go. Our fearless leader Carmin has a passion for this magazine, and it’s something she’s instilled in the whole team with her sheer enthusiasm. We won’t steer you wrong.

Please check out his marvellous blog, especially if you love all things alternative and have a penchant for beautiful women as his extensive model interviews are second to none.

And of course stay tuned for Issue 3# where more of his fantastic writing will be gracing our pages.
